Reviews
Interesting interiors with beautiful "affresco" paintings on the walls and ceilings. Too bad the decorations were a bit mixed from different owners and time periods, took away a bit of the immersion.
Took the tour without wine tasting for the price of 15€.
Also the goat is very cute although not interested in meeting people 🇮🇹🐐🇸🇪
beautiful. the tour guide was informative and the sparkling wine is a must try
Very interesting fresco wall painting, excellent wine sold no where else
We had a visit with wine tasting, after booking on the site.
The girl who guided us was very good and thorough.
the castle is very beautiful, we also tasted some delicious wine they produce.
I purchased the guided tour with tasting of a glass for €20 per person.
Very beautiful castle, and very kind, friendly and competent guide.
The guided tours are only carried out on weekends, but yesterday Sunday 11/19/23 was the last day, they will reopen in March.
Certainly one of the most engaging and interesting experiences, the beauty of the castle and the landscape is beyond question.
As a guide we were lucky enough to have a former professor, who delighted us with the history of the castle...a man from another time...talking little and listening a lot!
There is also a small cellar selling wines
I strongly recommend having this experience
A very beautiful villa within the walls. But it's not worth the €15 ticket price. No photography with the usual excuses. Few rooms that can be visited. The panoramic view is very beautiful, which can be admired even without entering.
Visit as part of the Franciacorta Festival, we chose Il Castello di Bornato because the visit also included a tour of the castle rooms, as well as the small cellar.
We were accompanied by a very knowledgeable gentleman, an expert guide in the area, on the guided tour of the castle, the cellar and the tasting of Franciacorta DOCG brut.
